This volume initiates the article series which will come out on a regular basis under the common heading Language, Thought and Education. Its general, yet challenging intent is to explore and possibly clarify the overlapping intricacies of human cognition, language and L2 acquisition/teaching mechanisms. Since the framework of our series requires fathoming a vast array of topics, we plan to publish articles written by experienced theorists and researchers as well as by junior authors working in a relatively wide range of disciplines such as linguistics, psychology, cultural studies, SLAR, ELT and the like.
