Opis

Using a natural language usually takes place with the purpose of communicating a message of some kind. The content of the message consists of thoughts or/and intentions which are meant to be understood. Understanding by the recipient of the message takes place after processing the linguistic data, providing that the processing is successful and the encoding sufficient for this purpose. It goes without saying that, for this to be possible, the speaker must be the first to understand his own message. This raises no objections as far as the statement is confined to this generality: the encoder understands his message before the decoding party. Common sense would also appear to suggest that the encoding party understands his/her message before actually encoding, that is – s/he first knows what s/he wants to communicate and then undertakes to translate his/ her thoughts into the language code.
